Preschool Room
Welcome to our Preschool Room, which serves children approximately ages 3½ - 5.
Our Preschool Classroom introduces the children to letters and sounds using Jolly Phonics. Jolly Phonics is an amazing phonics program which incorporates singing and hand motions to learn letters and sounds. It is widely used in many grade schools in the area and we implement it during our Circle Time. Activities with letters and sounds are extended throughout the day.
Our preschool classroom also has many different learning centers including dramatic play, kitchen area, reading area, manipulates, art center, math center, puzzles, music and more. During open play, children are able to make their own choices about which center they would like to explore. We have a weekly theme and the children will participate in teacher directed hands-on activities related to that theme, as well as child directed activities.
